How it began
A very ordinary evening
Pelotine started with the sofa, a cup of tea, and an hour that quietly disappeared into scrolling. We wanted something better to do with our hands – something calm, a little bit clever, and finished by bedtime.
Crochet was the answer. The trouble was, almost every kit we tried assumed you already knew what you were doing: instructions full of jargon, tutorials hidden behind passwords, and a lot of unfinished yarn at the bottom of a drawer.
So we made the kit we wished we'd had. Small, characterful projects you can genuinely finish in one evening, with everything in the box and a step-by-step guide that waits for you whenever you need a pause.
The name
Why “Pelotine”?
Pelote is French for a ball of yarn. Pelotine is its little sister – a tiny ball of yarn, full of possibility.
Each character you make is a Pelotin, and every Pelotin comes with its own little world.
